Learning Objectives:
- Understand OSHA and its role in regulating occupational safety
- Use Site Characterization to establish problems that may exist in hazardous workplace and implemented measures to eliminate hazards
- Identify hazardous materials existing in worksites and the possible symptoms, methods and preventative measures of exposure
- Use of Material Safety Data sheets (MSDS) has been encouraged to identify and properly handle hazardous materials.
- To familiarize with materials, compounds and mixtures that may present explosive, flammable, chemical or radiological hazards
- Emphasize the importance of personal protective equipment to limit hazardous exposure
- To establish an effective Site Control Program to reduce the risk of exposure to only those working in the hazardous work zone

Testing:
Quizzes: There are module quizzes which a minimum score of 70 is required to proceed to the next chapter.
Final Exam: Participants must appear for the final exam, which also requires a minimum 70 to receive a certificate of completion. If required, the final exam may be taken three times.
